We have created a brand new soap with the ‘funnel swirl’ technique. We have fallen in love with the dramatic effects this can create. We made this one with colours of cream, camel beige and chocolate brown mica.

The aroma is a new natural blend, including almond, rose geranium, patchouli, litsea, peppermint, tangerine with subtle touches of spice.

Halloween is nearly upon us and we think there is more to pumpkin’s than tasty soups and carving. We know it’s great for the skin, so we have created a wonderful new soap.

Why is pumpkin good for you? The bright orange color of pumpkin is a dead giveaway, it is loaded with an important antioxidant, beta-carotene. Beta-carotene is one of the plant carotenoids converted to vitamin A in the body. In the conversion to vitamin A, beta carotene performs many important functions in overall health, as well as correcting some degenerative aspects of aging. It is packed full of vitamins and minerals that will boost the health and texture of your skin.

This fantastic new soap is made with extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, organic, fair-traded shea butter, sunflower oil and fresh pumpkin pulp for all those health benefits.

The soap is great for all skin types, especially dry and mature. Naturally fragranced with essential oils of howood, mandarin, patchouli, cypress, vetiver and elemi. It will leave your skin soft and silky smooth, great also as a facial and shaving bar.

For August, we are presenting a gorgeous, fresh, bright, zesty and zingy 100% natural soap of Bergamot. This wonderful little fruit (which is a mix of a lemon, orange and a lime) is very bitter and is used mostly to produce essential oil from the rind. It has many uses, including balancing the nervous system, relieving anxiety and stress, lifting sadness and mild depression, an aid to sleep, it is antiviral, helping to heal cold sores, psoriasis, eczema and is an effective insect repellent.

The aroma is delicate, sweet, citrus fruity – everybody falls in love with it at their first sniff !

why the hearts?

The hearts are symbolic of our passion and commitment to producing the best, natural products possible. Also the word “Kariad” means love in the Welsh language, but usually it is spelt “Cariad”. I changed the “c” to a “k” because it is the first letter of my husband’s name, Karim.

Vanilla Lemonade natural handmade soap

The first one is called Vanilla Lemonade, it’s made with a combination of fresh lemons grown in our garden with crushed vanilla pods that give two amazing aromas. I combine the zesty, fresh and juicy aroma of the lemons with the rich, seductive and sweet smell of delicious vanilla. The soap is superfatted with organic cocoa butter.

The second soap is made with pure, dark amber resin. It is renowed since antiquity to be able to calm and relax the mind and body. It has a completely amazing and mysterious aroma which I emphasise with essential oils of tangerine, patchouli and bergamot. Gorgeous, fresh and light essences for hot summer days. This soap is also supperfatted with organic cocoa butter and honey which give the lather a fantastic extra silky feel. (photo to follow)

Double Mint Lavender Natural Handmade Soap

The third soap is Double Mint Lavender, which is a beautiful swirled soap that looks like summer skies or azure blue seas. It will keep you feeling fresh and cool with essential oils of peppermint, spearmint and lavender. The aroma really has a wow factor and is great for us girls and men. It’s also brilliant as the oils are deodorant and anti-bacterial. I use this soap as a natural toothpaste, try it – it’s really great and you will be using a natural option. Did you know that most commercial toothpastes contain sodium laureth/lauryl sulphate? This is a harsh detergent that has been said to be carcinogenic (cancer forming) so try the natural alternative.

Sugar Cane and Cardamom Natural Handmade Soap

The fourth soap is Sugar Cane with Cardamom. I have been wanting to use cardamom in a soap for ages and this combination idea just arrived in the middle the night. So, I got up and wrote down my ideas (I’ve got a terrible memory, so when an inspiration arrives, I write it down straight away). The soap has a lovely layer of cocoa powder to give it a distinctive look and the
surface is finished with a layer of crunchy sugar that gives a mild, exfoliating effect. The aroma is warming, not too sweet with essential oils of ho-wood, orange, cypress, petitgrain, cardamom and also superfatted with organic cocoa butter. I’ve got a bit of a crush on cocoa butter at the moment and because it makes the soap so creamy and extra rich, which is good for our dry or dehydrated skin during the summer months.

COLD PROCESS SOAP

We are very proud of our beautiful organic soap, handcrafted in the true traditional cold process method where we use no heat during production. This means that all the precious, beneficial qualities of the oils are kept intact. During this cold kettle method of soap making, vegetable glycerine [a humectant] is produced naturally during saponification, to enable us to offer the moisturising qualities of naturally produced glycerine soap.

We only use natural raw materials, organic ingredients whenever possible, and our professional aromatherapist skillfully blends top grade essential oils, creating exciting aromas that truly reflect the character of the various soaps.
